Lincoln Youth Soccer Club (LYSC) was established in 1978 by Will Moreback, Don Stewart, and David Zinzun Sr. who were motivated by their love and passion for the game they grew up playing. The passion for soccer has continued to grow LYSC into one of the up and coming clubs in Placer County.
In 2016, Lincoln Youth Soccer Club coaches began competing in CalNorth’s CYSL competitive program as Lincoln FC. Many teams found success and in 2017 applied to NorCal Premier, a competitive league. In 2018, Lincoln FC was accepted as a probational program and in 2019, we were formally accepted.
Lincoln Youth Soccer Club (LYSC) is our community’s recreational soccer league. The Recreational League is the foundation of our programs and it all begins with parents and players that bring a passion for soccer to be led by volunteer coaches and team managers to help players build the foundations of the game. Our goal is to provide an opportunity for families to build a community of other families and enjoy all of the benefits soccer can bring to their lives.
Teams will play approximately 10 games per season usually beginning in August and ending late November or early December. The Recreational League is the foundation of our programs and it all begins with
We have designed a Pathway for Teams, Coaches, and Players to build on the foundation that they are learning at the Recreational Level. These include Kinder Kickers for kids 3-5 years old to introduce the basics and get kids excited about soccer; Junior Skills Academy for kids 6-7 years old who plan on playing Recreational Soccer, but would like to extend their season through the Spring and Summer; and the U8 Academy for players under 8 years old that would like to progress from Recreational Soccer to Competitive Soccer where Coaches and Players will work with a Visions Trainer to build a foundation for communication, education and competition.
Either by recommendation or inquiry, coaches looking for teams to compete at a more competitive level are encouraged to reach out to our Director of Leagues and Coaches or our Competitive Coordinator to discuss options.
