Preparation for Players and Coaches
Our U8 Academy Program is run in partnership with Vision Soccer Training and is designed to provide a bridge between Recreational and Competitive soccer for U8 Boys and Girls. The program provides an extended season with training and game play at a higher level for those seeking more advanced skill development and competition than Recreational play provides.
The program will be open to all boys and girls who have the desire and maturity to play and train in a professional training environment where the emphasis is on developing individual technical skills, basic tactical concepts and of course having fun!
The program will run from June – July with all training being lead by a professional qualified Vision Soccer Training instructor with assistance from a designated Parent Coach. In addition, to lead training for the players, the VST instructor will also work closely with the Parent Coach to ensure they understand the VST methodology and how training sessions should be constructed. In addition to weekly training, participants will also have the opportunity to play in various games and tournaments against other U8 teams in the area. One game day will be scheduled for June and one in July. At the conclusion of the two month Academy Program participants will then transition to their regular Lincoln Youth Soccer Club recreational teams for the fall season.
