In 2018, the Protecting Young Victims from Sexual Abuse and Safe Sport Authorization Act of 2017 was signed into law. The legislation is aimed at preventing and reporting child abuse in youth sports by expanding the definition of mandatory reporters and requiring organizations to provide enhanced training, develop and enforce policies, mechanisms, and procedures to prevent, report, and respond to abuse of athletes. As a result of the new federal law, SafeSport training is mandatory for all adults participating in an official capacity with their league/club.

Therefore, Cal North has added additional training for ALL coaches and volunteers within the club.   When you registered as a coach, you received a confirming e-mail that had a link to the 3 sessions that need to be completed in order to help out this year:

* Concussion Training

*  Abuse Prevention

*  Safety/Additional Certification

The link was under "Safe Sport Training Info" within the e-mail.

If you missed the link and have deleted the e-mail, please click on the following link to follow the process for completing the training via logging back into your account to get to the training.   The directions also contain the steps on how to upload the certificates the correct way.

Thank you again for helping out with the club and taking a few hours to ensure the saftey of our children.
